Learn more about the craftsmanship of our green tea artisans.
Our tea is made by artisan farming communities in Japan, using traditional techniques passed down over generations.

Instead of nameless big corporations, we work with family-owned businesses. This way, we support local artisans and know exactly what goes in your tea.

We use modern techniques like organic farming, decaffeination and extraction, to create better products for your modern-day wellness ritual.

To deliver top-quality green tea, we work with the Crafti Collective, our network of tea artisans, farmers and partners across Japan.

Ohtani-san is the 3rd-generation owner of a tencha factory in Kozuya, Kyoto. The factory has been operating since the early 1970s where 20% of tencha are still harvested by hand.

Masaru-san is a renowned tea master who has won Japan's' National Tea Quality Judging Competition with over 120 tea masters.

Tadashi-san is a 2nd-generation tea farm and factory owner, who cultivates and processes Matcha in Nishio prefecture.

We created frost protection fans to maintain the quality of our tea leavs. If the sprouts freeze over during winter, it will wither and all our efforts will be wasted."
Masaru-san, on the toughest part of tea cultivation.

Tea plants are more susceptible to frost damage because of the relatively high water content in their tissues. When exposed to freezing temperatures, the water inside plant cells can freeze, and expand, causing damage to cell walls.

The ceremonial signature has easily become one of my top favorite matchas. I love it so much and look forward to making my daily matcha with it.
I love the chawan, naoshi, and the scoop and sieve that come with the set. The yellow color is vibrant in person and all materials are made out of good quality, providing a ritualistic and calming experience when making matcha. My chasen (whisk) started splintering from the first few uses, even when I soak it in hot water before making my matcha. The instructions say to soak the chasen for 3-5 minutes, but that is a bit long just for the chasen to splinter after a few uses.
Hi Danica,
Thank you so much for your thoughtful review and for sharing your experience with the Golden Hour Ritual Kit. We’re truly glad to hear that you’re loving the chawan, naoshi, scoop, sieve, and the overall ritual experience; and that the set has been bringing you a calming matcha moment.
We’re really sorry to hear about the issue with your chasen (whisk). This is not the experience we want for our customers, and we deeply apologize for the inconvenience caused.
We’ll be reaching out to you directly to better understand what happened with your whisk so we can investigate further and offer you the most suitable solution.
Thank you again for your feedback; it really helps us improve both our products and your experience.
Crafti’s Ceremonial Matcha is great for beginners who are beginning to get into matcha and really affordable!
I really love this matcha. It is very smooth and tastes great!!I love where and how it’s grown and processed and the people who run the company are awesome!! Very nice people!!
I personally get nervous with smooth glass cups because the condensation makes them very slippery to hold, but I love the double walled glass of this cup that prevents condensation from forming. It's also the perfect size and comes with a plastic straw (which I really like). Would buy again!
